Meredith Shumate is the Relocation Team Leader. Her husband, Chris, is currently the Associate Head Coach for Men’s Basketball at Georgia Southern University. Meredith has been a coach's wife during their 17 years of marriage. She is the mother to three children Addie (15), Chloe (13), and Gates (10). She also spent over 11 years in the classroom as a high school math teacher. The Shumate family is no stranger to relocating for various coaching jobs. They made coaching stops at Bellarmine University, University of Cincinnati, University of Southern Mississippi, University of Tennessee, Western Kentucky University, Northern Kentucky University, and currently Georgia Southern University. Meredith, like many coach’s wives, has become an expert at the relocation process all while continuing to raise a family. She knows first-hand the challenges families in college athletics face as they relocate from one home to another and prepare to open a new chapter of life.
