St. Edward’s University Athletics Partners with D1.relocation to Elevate Institutional Onboarding
Incoming athletic personnel will receive access to a dedicated Director of Relocation Operations

AUSTIN, Texas — St. Edward’s University Athletics has announced a formal institutional partnership with D1.relocation, the premier transition and relocation management infrastructure designed specifically for collegiate sports professionals. The partnership establishes a comprehensive, white-glove onboarding framework to support incoming coaches, administrators, and their families during their transition to the Hilltopper community.
Through this partnership, St. Edward's University will move beyond the traditional industry model of simply offering a moving allowance. Instead, incoming athletic personnel will receive access to a dedicated Director of Relocation Operations (DORO) to manage the entire logistical footprint of their move—including corporate-tier carrier vetting, real estate rewards, utility activation, and specialized unpacking services.
“Relocating in college athletics can be both exciting and overwhelming, and D1.relocation provides the trusted support needed to make that transition smoother for administrators, coaches, and their families,” said Jim Sarra, St. Edward’s University Director of Athletics. “Their understanding of the unique demands of our profession allows us to focus on serving our student-athletes, staff, and campus community from day one.”
The collaboration marks an intentional step forward in how NCAA Division II institutions protect their talent investments and modernize the employee experience, ensuring new staff members are fully present on campus immediately upon arrival.
"We are incredibly proud to welcome St. Edward’s University as an institutional partner," said Ernest Firth, COO of D1.relocation. "Athletic departments at every level of college sports face the same critical challenge: onboarding their new staff in a first-class manner. Austin is one of the most vibrant and fast-growing markets in the country, but attracting and seamlessly transitioning elite talent to this region requires specialized strategy—especially given SEU’s proactive initiative to recruit elite talent from outside the traditional geographic footprint. We look forward to serving as an extension of the Hilltopper staff to make every transition efficient, secure, and stress-free."
The institutional partnership programs are fully integrated and available for immediate deployment for upcoming St. Edward's University athletic transitions.
